Your assumptions

Estimated corpus at retirement

₹4,30,79,307
How inflation changes your expenses
Annual expenses today₹6,00,000
Annual expenses at retirement₹19,24,281

Compare annual expenses; the corpus above funds the full retirement period.

Monthly expenses at retirement
₹1,60,357
First-year annual expenses
₹19,24,281

How this calculation works

First-year annual expenses = monthly expenses × 12 × (1 + inflation)^years. Corpus is the present value of inflation-growing annual withdrawals.

Assumptions and limits

Expenses increase with inflation. Assumes annual withdrawals at the start of each retirement year, constant returns and a depleted corpus at the end. Excludes pensions, taxes, exceptional expenses and sequence-of-returns risk.

Default values are examples, not forecasts or product offers. Change them to reflect your situation. Calculations run without an account. No result is saved to your portfolio.

Example

Using Monthly expenses today (₹): 50000; Years until retirement: 20; Years in retirement: 25; Assumed inflation (%): 6; Return during retirement (%): 7, estimated corpus at retirement is ₹4,30,79,307.
