DATA & METHODOLOGY
Understand the numbers.
Coverage, calculation rules and limits for public research pages.
NSE · End of day · Latest available: 2026-11-04Coverage and freshness
Public pages use the NSE archive data stored in TrendNiti. Latest stored market date: 2026-11-04. This date does not guarantee a complete exchange-wide update. Each quote and index shows its own date; older stock quotes are excluded from screens.
Company references, 52-week ranges and corporate actions can update on a different schedule. Missing values appear as — and are not treated as zero. Current sector membership is used.
Prices, returns and charts
Stock returns use split/bonus-adjusted prices. Chart prices and moving averages use unadjusted daily closes, so corporate actions can cause visible jumps. DMA is a simple moving average; the 20 EMA starts with a 20-session simple average. Indicators require sufficient history.
Stock-versus-Nifty charts pair identical dates and rebase both series to 100 on the first common session. They compare adjusted stock prices with the Nifty 50 price index and exclude dividends. Week, month and three-month stock returns use 5, 21 and 63 trading sessions.
Screen rules
Volume surge
Latest-session share volume at least twice the prior 20-session average. Requires 20 earlier sessions with recorded volume.
Near 52-week highs
Latest close within 5% of the stored 52-week high. Reference highs can have a different update date from prices.
High delivery
At least 60% of traded shares marked for delivery in the latest stored session. Missing delivery records are excluded.
Strategy setups
Breakout or pullback candidates from the existing scanner: at least 55 sessions, average turnover of ₹10 crore, and a stop distance between 1.5% and 12%. ETFs are excluded. Earnings checks are manual.
Research limits
Screens are starting points for research. They do not account for every company announcement, earnings event or execution cost. Verify events and prices with the exchange or company before making a decision.
